The moist richness of the garden this morning reminds me of the importance of the foundation of anything. When the paper is moistened it can begin to fold easily & maintain its crease. It can be more shaped & refined in its form.
If the foundation is too concrete it cannot adjust itself to the weight, or even mold itself with the beginnings of all things. Matter is a funny animal & it cannot quite adjust, if it does not have the room to adjust & even name itself.
The less we name a day, the greater flexibility we have to allow a day to name itself & reveal its curves, nooks, & crannies. We try so hard to get a clear picture, but the day names itself anyway.
Mother Earth terra forms us in a more gentle way, if we conceive ourselves flexible, listening, & willing to give. As I write, I take time to hear what I say, because it is what I hear. And so the day begins with only a small clue.

The flexibility of this day showed me how flexible the garden is as I propped up the tomato plants this morning that were reaching for support….I must maintain that same flexibility for myself….thank you for always having the best words for the day!!
