Water Seed of Ether: Synergy

Synergy is marked by a time of detailed communication, which relates empathy, compassion, and deep listening. This stage should be navigated thoughtfully, keeping a steady synergy with all parts of one's life.

Building solid bridges of diplomacy will create an easier volume of communication, so one can be able to give and receive support as a natural flow and rhythm.

Water dissolves the struggles and helps us adjust to the environment we are working, being, and moving in.

This time does not need complete understanding, and the real ease is giving yourself room to adjust to the water levels and movement of the tides.

My day quickly moves from meditation to full movement, to rest, to conversation, frustration, upset in the outer atmosphere, and once again to enlightenment, motion, and meditation.

The task is effortless synergy of all these, in a rhythm of staying in the moment.

Earth Seed of Water: Boldness

7.27.10

The day of celebration of my birth has unfolded slowly, as if patient with my feelings. I take in deeply the simple pleasures of time and I feel kind of foggy, recovering, and pausing.

Boldness, not a feeling of this day, but a steady unfolding. Taking the sweetness of arrival into the pace of open, I take myself to the more resistant pleasure of room.

Boldness is part of a turning that conceives a spoken formation of current that evokes color.

This day is my birthday and I am in the beginning of a Saturn return, which calls for a total shift of currency, and one pays for life in a totally new way. I can see the pattern more, as it turns and the boldness is more evident. This pattern has more ease and less need for a charge.

The currency of my life before called for much more physical and emotional current, because I was carving out space for who I am and what I have come to do, be, and conceive.Now that has been paid, carved, and given life.

Now I must sit inside my own vessel and allow it to float with the accuracy of its own curves. No oars needed, because the carve has its own living movement. The boldness is on water, the boldness has no oars, the boldness has no effort. The ease of life, called to one's own need, is the memory of fay and how life has its own mobility.

The elements are at the bidding of our ease. They only come when the bidding is from the heart alone. This is a time of courage, blamelessness, essence, and seeing through the veil. Boldness to look through.

Air Seed of Fire: Mutual Harmony

To bridge the enthusiastic doer with the idealistic conceiver was a mystery to me on so many levels, but finally I feel I am beginning to understand it.

There is much in my day that speaks of why I live the way I do, but I have not quite seen the big picture of why we now live in our home and studio, and why the Alchemical Mind is so important for me and my family.

Our work is the bridge. It bridges our daily doing life with our deep idealistic conceiving life.

Our daily life, which is important, had become so busy that our conceiving life was having difficulty bridging to our doing life, and this doing life can only balance if it is connected, or bridged, to our idealistic conceiving life.

So I realized the studio is where we build the bridge, and the alchemical mind is how we bridge the home to its balancing factor. The alchemical mind is how we stay bridged to our home, and our home stays bridged to its balance.

Our creative work is our deep idealistic conceiver's visible life. I realize now, that in order to expand our family and stay balanced, Robert & I have needed to live in our studio, and go back and forth, to insure we are able to keep the idealistic conceiver bridged.

The alchemical mind is also how we have intended to help our community stay bridged to its own idealistic conceiver. As we receive we are enacted to give, so that our world is never disconnected from its deep balance.

Fire Seed of Earth: Alchemy and Passion of the Spirit

Today is the Feast of Mary Magdalene and we have a show in Belfast, ME. called "Camu-Lot: Curved Light", and the Magdalene is one of the featured pieces, because the queens of Avalon were of her lineage. We did not plan the show to be up during her feast, but isn't that the magic of the rhythm!

Inside all the rhythms of our lives is an order and this order is given to us so that the compassion of sweet ecstasy can be felt inside our creative process.

This morning, beautiful and a little cooler, we kayaked early, had breakfast on the water, and painted. This is becoming more flowing for us and we find that we can go out for a couple of hours, feel the rhythm of the water and it helps the rhythm of the rest of our day.

We both felt a strong sense of a large picture coming into view, so we went slow and made ourselves available to it. The full journey of creating and writing is pivoted by the availability of our minds to the creative work.

Allowing my mind to muse, to sit inside a big idea, is not always easy, and usually some distraction tries to appear and take up lodging.

I realize I must reclaim my space and set up a boundary for my mind.

The bigger the idea often the bigger the distraction. In a time like that I must move all my forces of focus together and know that once the distraction knows it will not succeed, it will usually dissolve into itself, disappear, or leave.

A large idea, or bigger picture is always worth the time, and room it takes.

Once you commit to it the move will set. In the midst of everything today a large distraction appeared, I finally, after several days realized that was what it was.

It took a bit but that is all it truly is, so back to the "Root Child and the Coming of Fairies".

Water Seed of Fire: Creative Tension, or a Matter of Passion

Four moon flowers bloomed in the studio last night, sweet scented magic. This time is also a matter of passion, there is an emotional depth when you vibrate in tune with everything around you. You are more sensitive and aware of life energy in all its forms.

Today has been a day of seemingly extreme heat, from the build-up of former hot days, and I didn't feel very passionate or vivacious, and felt in-tuned with all the wrong things at first. If not wrong, I'd say uncomfortable and pushy.

I did my yoga, to center, and Robert worked on my meridians, then the creative tension began to lift, and the passionate inspiration could begin to enter. Often each position in the alchemical process has a two-edged sword, and once you get it balanced, you can begin to move into the creative aspect of the alchemical position.

It is good to realize this and ask to be able to balance within the position, so you can utilize it alchemically.

Robert & I worked on a new piece, listened to music, watched a film, as we worked. It makes it festive and easier to move through the work, because the mind is engaged within the creativity of the music and the film. The creative passion can enter more freely as the mind plays.

The moon tonight is beautiful over the river, and I can see it fully from our windows.

We're working on our show for December, "The Coming of Fairies", and it is so fun to see who and what will appear in the work.

Water seed of fire was perfect for the movement, because this realm moves what we think and do into unison with what we feel. So you bathe with the fire of your creativity, and you dry with the water of your emotions, till you are balanced and a new world appears in your life.

Air Seed of Earth: Squaring the Circle

Today was a day of painting, taking airy concepts, soaring imagination, wings of freedom, down to the form of water, earth, fire, wood, and metal, bringing all the elements down into the physical dimension.

Here, Robert & I integrate our painting with music, film, cooking, herbal pestos, and conversation. It is so nice now, as we do this, we can always see nature, feel her, hear her, and integrate her, as we work in our studio.

To square the circle is a mental alchemy, and it cannot be planned out or drawn with a straight edge. It has to have flight, freedom, and curve. The circle is the realm of the mind, and the square is earth, the womb of our translation.

I have found it finally easier to focus on our work, but at first, in the morning, I did not feel I could get there. To clear away, roll out the land, pour in the light, sometimes feels unattainable, but in the truth of it you are usually on the edge of a big body of work, and as you look out over it, you're blinded by its vastness and the amount of surrender it will hold.

I'm excited, but I forget the surrender is all it needs, like in Alice and the Jabberwocky, she just had to hold on to the Vorpal sword, because it knew what it wanted to do.

Fire Seed of Water: Vaporization

7.18.10

This can be a very strong alchemical piece, when one's life is needing a force of movement that will give volume to what is wanted, and desired in the connection and engagement of others, in a cooperative endeavor.

This connection will be supportive and yielding a germination of new life, if moved to grow inside the vaporization. The full diameter of what is given more room is made easier for us to see, this in turn shows us how to maneuver our own decisions, so they will include the entirety of what is now given room.

When our lives are too tight, with little openness for fluidity, we have to vaporize any liquid that is stagnate. We become fire moving water till it purifies its motion, like a river that is tidal. The tide rises the volume then lowers it, to flush out any stagnated water, and then once again fills.

The moon, which is associated with the feminine cycle, moves the flow to flush out the system, so new life can flourish once again. In our lives we create the anjou, by vaporizing the liquid to its very essence.

Today I felt I have come to this, and finding the real anjou for what I was looking for. The pure truth of my life outside of the dramas. This is a window, and may not last, but each time I recognize it more and it lasts longer.
