7.6.10
Dalai Lama's Birthday. Hang flags in garden.
We kayaked yesterday evening as it cooled and while on water found out the toilet seals on both toilets broke.
Earlier we had put a water displacer (1/2 jug) to save on water in each toilet.
Today we tell the plumber to install two new water saver toilets, using only 1.5 gal. per flush.
Earth seed of water once again needs boldness from our lives, and we begin to shift our own needs to what we truly want. In this time, what seems a problem can be dissolved, by allowing a new basis of operation. Coming from a whole new format, creating a whole new place of operation, and coming out emotionally. Earth seed of water creates a timing that forces the secret ally to come forward and bring forth the occasion of a firmer palette, or infrastructure, upon more solid ground.
Within the world of fay, the nature spirits of water emotionalize us, as the tide and the moon wax and wane together, in an elbowing swing of up and down, high and low, rise and lower. The boldness is catching the high and riding into the low, thus saving water, as the current of living moves with the vision of what was once invisible becomes visible. You realize you are on its solid ground, lifted up from all dangers.
Today is the Dalai Lama's birthday and we will bless our gardens, hang new prayer flags, and ring bells for our Ocean of Compassion.

Air Seed of Water: Calm
7.5.10
Taking the force of will that makes air a current, the wash of water becomes more dissolved into its own evaporated nature.
In this time things can feel foggy, and the mix seems to unclear our vision. We are comforted by silence, meditation, and we are made more ready for the passage that endurance gives, as the cycle shifts into new opportunities.
This is not a time to tear up roots, even if this space is uncomfortable because of its fogginess. Inside this time I need to listen, and allow layers upon layers to peel away, and the cycle shifts, till finally I see the clear picture. I have to take in wholly what I feel and how I can create a larger view.
I listen within my hearing and feel the very nature of the story sound creates, as it is putting together all the details of what has been allowed together in silence.
I have to keep the calm, as my intuitive factor, and peel away all unnecessary risks, that want me to forsake what it is I truly see and feel. To reach deep into the gut of my emotion and pull out the oracle of wisdom, I need to be released of what fights to hold onto the importance of struggle and irritation in my life. it has none, just like the fog is no help to the vision.
I must let go and be calm to my purpose, my clarity, my vision.

Ether Seed of Earth: Gestation
7.4.10
The cycle of Change lies deep within the earth of gestation, and what limits we see are made available to our minds.
We notice, and begin to become aware of what sits inside our gestation. We are moved by the distance gestation creates between conception and birth. This distance gives us room to get ready for the change in will we will need, to accept our own creation.
Time escapes no one, and it leads us into the reality of form manifested as life. We collect our memories from this distance, between birth and death, but it is truly gestation to a new balance, not death. We have no concept of new balance, so we enter the tunnel of death, in order to regain time, when it is actually a breath of new balance that we need.
Once we are ready for a new balance, gestation becomes a part of the alchemical process, that gives us room to settle more into who we are. For me, there is starting to become a wider void, that I can see more light within its position of gestation. I can hear the environment I am preparing for, and the sound of the rhythm I am becoming.
The hand of the mother reaches into me and I am ready for a new balance, a shedding of death, and an awakening of permanence in my future, that gives recognition to who I deeply am, and light to the volume of my living.

Water Seed of Fire: Creative Tension
7. 2 & 3.10
"It requires a very skillful alchemist to burn Fire under Water, and indeed to float Fire upon a bed of Water." Dr. John Munford, "Magical Tattwas".
This was one of the main images in the film, "Krull". Woman gives Fire to Water, man takes Fire from Water. In this way they had the power to create a light that lit the darkest shapes and fears of what was hidden. Their relationship was a creative tension that brought their world into a new pattern of seeing. I have always loved this film. It visually amazed me and the power of alchemy when one knows the secrets of true and deep love that won't be put out.
This time is always edgy, and one usually feels the tyranny of negative distractions that masks itself, as something worth you time, feeling, and creativity.
The sacred threads through the skills learned in true love, and gives fire to the flow, so creativity can float on the support of emotion.
Water can feed fire in the bathing of the volume of time, that needs transformation. Fire can evaporate the excess, so water can be refined and pure of the distractions, that block its streams and contaminate its beautiful acceptance.
Creative tension is to be maneuvered into a path of vision. I have found this part of the creative alchemy sometimes the hardest, but also it has the greatest potential.
I am Fire and my father was Water, and I floated on top of his shoulders of water, because he bathed in the light of who I was. My father died in the sea many years ago, and I finally have the courage in meditation, to take my light down into the dark waters and find him, and bring him back up to the light of day.

Fire Seed of Ether: Transmutation
7.1.10
The voice of the self is always in a process of knowing, from all that it feels and expresses. So many times we speak and are amazed at what emerges, this is transformational to our very beingness.
Once we are able to trust this other sense of voice, we can begin to transmute the unsacred sounds in our life. To trust ourselves deeply is to know we know the delicate differences between sounds of light and sounds of deficit. Sounds unfinished, unknowing of their own honor, that try to divide us from our own wholeness, are sounds of deficit. They delete our connection, and promise nothing in our life that fills our dreams and resonates with our identity.
Learning this trust, of one's own clarity, is what is needed to move fire seed of ether and to transmute the resonance of disconnection, that worries away our solid foundation and shuts down our sacred voice of clarity.
When I move into this phase of alchemy, fire seed of ether, there is so much press, in so many directions to silence myself, my work, and the clarity of what I know. I think this might have been why, when Robert & I asked for the combined name of our collaborative work, that we received the name Clarity.
This would be our life's work; to care for, nurture, and make sacred the sound of the self, that journeys deep into the sacred structures of hearing light.
There is so much darkness in this world, that lies deep underground, which awakens when you start tunneling around with your cave light. This, though, is the only way through the ancient memory of home, that fills the very nature of our own DNA.
As I was writing this entry, Robert wrote the following, that completely expressed what I was writing about.
"Sometimes, in order to truly understand a thing, you must breathe in the thing and make it your own.
The things that are counter to our makeup are then released from their opposing factor, and with the compassion of nature, allowed to pass through us, leaving us free of their rhetoric, and their demand on our time.
When we are allowed to freely give, we are free. When we demand to receive, we are caught in a trap, not of nature’s making. Our sacred practice is beyond demand, because we freely give it our every breath, and in doing so, we have received more than we could have dreamed possible.
I met a woman. I met a woman of my own nature and breath, we both gave away the all of everything, and to this very day, we receive more than we could have possibly dreamed."

Air Seed of Ether: Transformation
6.30.10
The day unfolds and the alchemy moves through me, as I move into air seed of ether, transformation. All sets into my longing and I begin to understand the meaning of decision.
What has been unearthed begins to slip away into its own meaning, and I no longer feel part of it. I stand aside and I look up for the doorway out. Out of old ways, old sounds, old ideas of meeting and leaving.
I dissolve more than resolve, and I look more for a doorway, lined more with gold than with lead. My life has weighted me down enough that I know what gravity is, and I wish to know it less. What goes up must come down is an old adage, but it has no right to command our feelings about where we are.
What comes down is not falling, it is manifesting in our time. When a ball goes up, it is out of direct sight, and when it comes down it is in direct sight. It is not so much that natural law is wrong, but it is not interpreted accurately. I have had to learn that all I thought was, is not.
How we see it is what we do with it. It is not that we need to transform what we know, but, instead how we see it. To identify what is, we must be able to see what is before and after it, fully. This is done in each moment, and I often feel the circumference of my life with the question "How do I know this?"
A circumferic view makes you like eagle, and the transformation is part of your view.
You are raven, air seed of ether, transformation, and your sight corrects, aligns, and sets the future, from what you see.
Raven is my totem, and I feel she is a consuming matter of sight, that gives my work three times at once, and this is hard for others to understand. She makes me feel secure, as I sit in three times of space ( past, present, and future) at once.

Ether Seed of Ether: Rebirth
6.29.10
"Ether (Space) is always pregnant with freedom, and possibilities of fresh starts and new approaches", Dr. John Munford, "Magical Tattwas".
This is a time to start pecking your way out of the shell.
If life is not giving you all you need, or dream, then it is time to root around and pull out what has not made good roots. Look into what is taking up more time than you want. What is not giving you the space you need? Dig up, replant, and check out the seeds. Some seeds germinate, some do not. Find out what seeds from where they come, work the best.
Put the seeds in your mouth and let them roll around in your saliva and merge them with your DNA. Seed that merge this way will bear fruit that heals your system. Dramatic shifts will allow you to rejuvenate, regenerate, and expand.
Ether seed of ether is a time of opening up the horizon, peeling back the veil, and moving harmony into the distance between what you know and what you feel. To be able to eat the fruit of what you have come to be, and see, is like being able to eat the apple of your eye. This helps you be able to sit in space. You are reborn and regenerated by what you see.
I woke up sleepy and dreamy this morning and knew that I had to go deep enough today to see in a whole new way. This way would strengthen me, so I could peck out of the shell of the cosmic egg and my sight would be strong and clear enough to hold my mind in a new direction.
We worked on getting a new show ready, "Camu-Lot: Curved Light" for the Co-op Gallery in Belfast. Yellow, blue, red, and white, like a new chick pushing its way out beyond the criteria held fast and limiting of what is thought to be real, but is not.
It is evening now, and I feel better. Not so cramped, more lift, more room. Ether seed of ether has once again given me space.
