This day has been a culmination of many positions, all vying for the reason that things seem off.
Robert & I both spent much more time sitting and walking by the river and pushed back the tide of confusion. We did our Qigong by the river and pushed back the tide of confusion. We love the emotion of this river and her rhythm of awareness of our needs.
Two blue herons, one golden eagle, all here to shift the set of our minds. A stubborn wanting waits beside my mind and I allow the structures of the impossibilities to fall away.
We spoke this evening to the historical society of our work and it was magic to look into their eager engaged faces and see that there is some kind of resolve of our place in this world that is beyond its meaning, and it emerges from our love of it.
Our love for it, our commitment to it, our humor with ourselves in it, made them get up and look at each piece and open up each book.
How can we be this fully in the world and hold the chalice well upright and not spill it, with the despair and discouragement that we have to travel to fill it?
